So, to kind of explain my previous post, I bought Over the Hedge and The Devil Wears Prada at the Video Corner while on the way to get gas for Jadis. The first I had seen in the theatres so I knew how it was and that it was adorkable. The other? Well, I jsut finished watching it, and my God did I fall in love with it. Now, I may not have studied fashion or buy fashion magazines often.. I still look and will always be fascinated by these designs and works. I like to scribble a few ideas from time to time but they're shit compared to what designers can do.

Mm.. well, to my knowledge, I'm working five days straight plus Joy is returning from her trip this Saturday. There have been rumors of a big snow storm coming soon so this week's paycheck is going to pay for stocking up on food and needed items for myself and the two babies. If I'm going to be snowed in I damn well will be prepared.

Holding off on getting my ears pierced again as well as my hair done; plus the camera can wait until everything is all paid for and my account is at a steayd amount. When I pay for my car insurance my account is going to plummet like no tomorrow. So.. I better finish up that pricing chart and get started on comissions. At least I finally have a PayPal account now.

..and I have a stomach from Hell. That's what I get for eating cake and Reeses.

And Nicole Kidman is fskin' beautiful as Mrs. Coulter in The Golden Compass. I had to icon her in that role. ♥

SEMI-HIATUS

This is my brain right now.

For the weekend, and quite possibly into next week, I'm taking a break from all major roleplaying. Below are notes to individuals/communities I am in. Random, individual roleplays will still be open on evenings.

iwakura : Concerning the the roleplay I had joined with Crane, I'm still interested in it. What I'll be doing is dropping Crane from _catchphrase_ because I can only handle four characters there and use his journal for the prison one. His screenname will still be 'youreveningSIR' for that as well.

_catchphrase_ : Kayura, Yukina, Jack Skellington and Noir will be updated sparringly for the next week. They'll still be alive (or dead in Jack's case) but not very active outside of conversing in the journals. And Crane will be dropped. Maybe I'll pick him up again later in the future, but I haven't felt the urge to roleplay him much there anymore.

fuckyeah : Next week I will be posting in crossuniversity to start taking applications for potential moderators. If it's all right with you, I want to interview each one seperately in a chatroom.

leochan : I will also be be posting applications for potential application reviewers/other minor but just as important jobs. I'll be wanting you around to help me pick through those apps.

crossuniversity : Applications for characters and the roleplay reopening will be sometime in May. The date is still unknown.

This is a short ficlet for crossuniversity about Shido (and Yayoi) leaving Cross City for a week that'll turn out to be absolute hell for them both! 8D Am I not so kind to my characters? And this was also demanded of me by my seme, so this had to be done. :x

By the door sat the suitcase and duffel bag, each filled with the clothing and other items he was going to need for this sudden trip. Draped over the suitcase was his coat and scarf; the evening was chilly and the night was only going to grow colder with time. Not to mention it being a bit of a drive to the airport itself. For an hour he and Yayoi would be in the car, out in the cold night. All for a trip that not only came up last minute, but was one he rather he not have to attend.

Ryouko, by now, had taken full control of his bed; the fox was certainly content with his leave seeing as he pounced onto the bed even before the man had finished packing, claiming it as his own. Well the animal would be getting the attention he wanted from his owner with Shido going away. As for Kurounue and Mana, the puppy and kitten were upset to see him going.

But no matter how many wide-eyed, innocent stares he received or mews and whimpers he heard, Shido had to leave.

Picking up the coat first, he slipped one arm into a sleeve as his sea-green gaze passed over the apartment once more. No where was Kurama to be found; he couldn't reach him or see him to tell him that he was leaving. And as he straightened out the front of his coat and began to button it, it was evident that the man was crushed that he could not tell Kurama 'good-bye'.

With the cream-colored scarf now draped over his neck, Shido heaved a heavy sigh as his half-lidded eyes now stared at his luggage. "..." He really did not want to go. There was one part that said he owed it to his deceased father to continue running Tatsuhiko Corporation. To keep his family's memory alive and going strong.

The duffel bag, though carried a few books and a blanket for the plane, weighed heavily on his shoulder. The suitcase was clasp tightly in his hand by the handle, his body still as the man took one final look around.

A sharp click was the final sound heard in the apartment as the door closed behind him.

Curled up into a small, tan ball of fur was Mana. The Somali was fast asleep on the kitchen counter where a note was lying beside him. Every now and then the long tail would rise and then fall, but for the most part it would remain limp across the slip of paper.

By the time you read this note, I'll already be on my flight to a conference in California. I was contacted just hours ago about some issues that seem to have escalated at my father's company so it was urgent that I leave to settle everything.

I shouldn't be gone for no longer than a week, give or take a day. My only regret is that I couldn't tell you this and say good-bye in person. I promise to come home as soon as I can.

Well, Valentine's Day for me was a peaceful and rather enjoyable one! Nothing special or anything, just munchin' on some chocolate while watching Full Metal Panic. Which is, by the way, an excellent series. u_u I love Kurz. And seeing Kyouko beat him over the head with a baseball bat AFTER having a water melon smashed ontop of his head: PRICELESS.

I never could understand how some people could hate Valentine's Day. XD To be honest, it's just a time for lovin' your loved ones, not just a lover. ANyway, that's my two cents.

Now with the break coming up, people are once again going on vacation. Work at the kennel was hectic today: I was there until noon, which is rare. Michaela and I were running about bringing in and setting up the new dogs; preparing foods and making sure the washing machine wasn't leaking. And in a short while, I will be leaving once again for the afternoon shift. Joy. XD;;;

On a funfun note: I was hit by a car on the walk to work. Some assfuck decided to pass the car in front of him WHILE I WAS IN THAT LITTLE BIKE LANE. The car hit my arm so now it's going on/off from being sore to okay.

Not too long ago I took my ibeprofein to help, but I'll probably see about going to see a doctor just to stay on the safe side.
